The prototype is a
simplified model to test the product planned by FELDO timepieces. It
corresponds as much externally as it does technically to the final
design.
The prototype serves as a preparation for a production test run. There is one made by hand for each component supplier. |

When we are speaking about a
watch, we are speaking about the box, the dial, the face, the numbers,
the strap, the crystal, the needle and naturally the movement inside,
and each one is made as a unique component. These watch components require the highest level of concentration and precision from all participating manufacturers. As an example, a goldsmith needs almost 8 hours to specially design the brass numbers. Aside from the technical properties, making a prototype is also important in appreciating how the product looks and the technology within FELDO timepieces. Finally, each prototype is inspected in the product test phase. |
